Kolekcionar vatrogasnog znakovlja

3.SKVB OPATIJA 2024.
U Kulturnom domu ZORA u Opatiji 16. studenog 2024. je održan 3. susret kolekcionara vatrogasne baštine. Susret su organizirali Hrvatsko društvo za očuvanje vatrogasne baštine u suradnji s Dobrovoljnim vatrogasnim društvom Opatija, Hrvatskom vatrogasnom zajednicom i Muzejom hrvatskog vatrogastva. Na početku susreta okupljene je pozdravio predsjednik Hrvatskog društva za očuvanje vatrogasne baštine Josip Cingesar. U ime glavnog vatrogasnog zapovjednika i Hrvatske vatrogasne zajednice okupljenima se obratio Gordan Filinić, pomoćnik glavnog vatrogasnog zapovjednika za logistiku. – Iznimna mi je čast pozdraviti vas u svom gradu, gradu koji ima dugu vatrogasnu tradiciju. Vi ste odabrali kroz svoj hobi čuvati našu vatrogasnu povijest, čime uspješno gradite temelje vatrogasne budućnosti – rekao je Filinić.
Susret je okupio tridesetak ljubitelja vatrogasne povijesti iz Hrvatske i Slovenije koji su pokazali svoje zbirke vatrogasnih medalja, znački, modela vatrogasnih vozila, te zbirke filatelije na temu vatrogastva kao i staru vatrogasnu opremu. Muzej hrvatskog vatrogastva je pokazao dio svoje kolekcije fotografija, kao i nedavno nabavljenu kolekciju osobnih vatrogasnih medalja dugogodišnjeg vatrogasnog dužnosnika Zvonka Biškupa. Članovi DVD-a Leprovica su na susretu predstavili plan za izgradnju lokalnog vatrogasnog muzeja. Za vrijeme trajanja susreta, posjetitelji su mogli pogledati opremu i vozila Javne vatrogasne postrojbe Opatije i Dobrovoljnog vatrogasnog društva Opatija te vatrogasni dom koji predstavlja iznimno zanimljivu vatrogasnu i arhitektonsku priču. Ovaj susret je pokazao da postoji veliki interes kolekcionara i građana za ovakve manifestacije, zbog čega je Hrvatsko društvo za očuvanje vatrogasne baštine najavilo nova događanja – susrete u Donjoj Voći i Osijeku, kao i rad na tiskanom materijalu o vatrogasnim medaljama i značkama.
On November 16, 2024, the 3rd Meeting of Firefighting Heritage Collectors was held at the ZORA Cultural Center in Opatija. The event was organized by the Croatian Society for the Preservation of Firefighting Heritage in cooperation with the Opatija Volunteer Fire Department, the Croatian Firefighting Association, and the Museum of Croatian Firefighting. At the beginning of the meeting, Josip Cingesar, President of the Croatian Society for the Preservation of Firefighting Heritage, welcomed the attendees. On behalf of the Chief Fire Officer and the Croatian Firefighting Association, Gordan Filinić, Assistant Chief Fire Officer for Logistics, addressed the gathering. "It is an exceptional honor to welcome you to my city, a city with a long firefighting tradition. Through your hobby, you have chosen to preserve our firefighting history, thereby successfully building the foundations for the future of firefighting," said Filinić.
The meeting brought together around thirty firefighting history enthusiasts from Croatia and Slovenia, who displayed their collections of firefighting medals, badges, model fire engines, philatelic collections, and vintage firefighting equipment. The Museum of Croatian Firefighting exhibited a portion of its photograph collection, as well as a recently acquired collection of personal firefighting medals belonging to long-time firefighting official Zvonko Biškup. Members of the Leprovica Volunteer Fire Department presented their plan for the construction of a local firefighting museum. During the event, visitors had the chance to view the equipment and vehicles of the Opatija Public Fire Brigade and the Opatija Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the fire station itself, which represents a fascinating firefighting and architectural story. This meeting demonstrated a significant interest among collectors and citizens for such events. Consequently, the Croatian Society for the Preservation of Firefighting Heritage announced upcoming events meetings in Donja Voća and Osijek as well as work on printed materials regarding firefighting medals and badges.
