Na žalost ne postoji pismeni trag o osnivanju DVD Vivodine ali po pričanju mještana to je bila 1929. Godina. Kao osnivači društva spominju se Antun Vrbanek, Juraj Viher, Nikola Frlan, Nikola Guštin i dr. Prvi predsjednik društva bio je Antun Vrbanek, Ivan Božičević zapovjednik, učitelj u Vivodini. Prvi vatrogasci Vivodine položili su Zavjeru 1932. Godine pod barjakom DVD-a Karlovca.. Nabavkom vatrogasne štrcaljke bili su tehnički dobro opremljeni te su rezultati gašenja požara u Drašićima i Pravutini bili visoki. Zanimljivo je da je Društvo organizacijski bilo u sastavu Vatrogasne župe Jastrebarsko.
