Kolekcionar vatrogasnog znakovlja

Godine 1884. mjesni poštar Stjepan Haler uz potporu mjesnog bilježnik Julia Kovača i magistrata formirali su Dobrovoljno vatrogasno društvo Legrad. Društvu pristupa 12 članova,  a trgovišna općina daje pomoć za kupnju dviju ručnih štrcaljki koje su tada bile posljednja riječ tehnike. Tokom svoje povijesti DVD je imao veliki broj članova te uz osnovnu djelatnost imao je i vrlo uspješnu limenu glazbu. Kao što to biva DVD je prolazio kroz teška vremena te određeno vrijeme nije imao ni vlastitih prostorija. 2001. godine vlastitim sredstvima i dobrovoljnim radom naših članova i mještana započela je obnova prostorija koje smo dobili od Općine te izgradnja doma i garaža za vozila. 2004. godine na proslavi 120 godina rada DVD-a otvoreni su novi prostori. 2006. godine potpisana je povelja o bratimljenju s FF Boheimkirchen iz Austrije. 2007. godine započela je adaptacija prostora "Poljoservisa" koji su nam dani na korištenje. Ta adaptacija zbog nedostatka financijskih sredstava traje i danas. 2011. godine potpisana je povelja o suradnji s DVD-om Sigetec.

In 1884, the local postman Stjepan Haler, with the support of the local notary Julius Kovač and the magistrate, formed the Legrad Voluntary Fire Brigade. The society is joined by 12 members, and the trading municipality is helping to buy two hand-held syringes, which were the latest technology at the time. Throughout its history, the DVD had a large number of members and in addition to its core business, it also had very successful brass music. As it happens, the DVD went through hard times and for a while it didn't even have its own rooms. In 2001, with our own funds and the voluntary work of our members and locals, the renovation of the premises we received from the Municipality and the construction of a home and garage for vehicles began. In 2004, at the celebration of 120 years of DVD work, new spaces were opened. In 2006, a twinning charter was signed with FF Boheimkirchen in Austria. In 2007, the adaptation of the "Poljoservis" space, which was given to us for use, began. This adaptation due to lack of financial resources continues today. In 2011, a charter of cooperation with the Sigetec DVD was signed.
