DVD je osnovano 16. veljače 1937., nakon velikog požara koji je buknuo te godine i uništio gospodarske objekte pet domaćinstava. Društvo tada broji 23 člana, a prvi je predsjednik bi o Franjo Bajs. Već na početku 1938. nabavljena je, zahvaljujući financijskoj pomoći svih mještana, ručna štrcaljka. Vatrogasni dom je sagrađen 1948, a društvo svoju prvu zastavu nabavlja 1967. povodom jubilarnih 30 godina rada društva kao poklon od Varaždinske industrije svile. Godine 1992. pokrenuta je inicijativa za novim mnogo većim vatrogasnim domom. Sama gradnja je mala atrakcija jer su oko zidova starog doma podignuti novi koji će biti srušeni tak kad novi dom bude pod krovom. Antun Bubanić obnaša dužnost predsjednika sve do 14.02.1993. g. kad tu funkciju preuzima Ivan Paušner. Nakon njega dužnost predsjednika preuzima Magić Vladimir 06.01.1997 sve do 24.02.2001. kad dužnost predsjednika preuzima Pavličević Nenad. Tragičnom smrću 27.06.2007 pogiba Pavličević Nenad. Nakon tog nesretnog događaja za predsjednika DVD-a Imbriovec izabran je Dražen Oršić, koji od 02.02.2008. obavlja dužnost predsjednika. Te iste godine 2008. Oršić je izabran za tajnika vatrograsne zajednice općine Jalžabet, koja vodi do 2013. Od 28.02.2015 dužnost predsjednika preuzima Rajko Solar. DVD Imbriovec danas broji 67 člana. DVD ulaže mnogo napora u obnavljanju društva novim članovima i kontinuiranim školovanjem vatrogasaca. Od školovanih kadrova DVD ima 13 vatrogasaca, 8 vatrogasaca 1. Klase,2 dočasnika, 2 dočasnika 1. Klase, 2 časnika i 1 časnika 1. Klase. DVD sudjeluje na svim natjecanjima VZO Jalžabet i šire i to sa muškom A i B ekipom i postiže najbolje rezultate, te se redovito plasira na županijsko natjecanje, gdje također postiže vrlo dobre rezultate i sa A i B ekipom. DVD Imbriovec posjeduje kombi vozilo Mercedes Benz iz 1991. godine. Trenutno vodstvo čine:

DVD Imbriovec today has 67 members. The DVD puts a lot of effort into rebuilding the society with new members and continuously educating firefighters. Of the trained personnel, the DVD has 13 firefighters, 8 1st Class firefighters, 2 NCOs, 2 1st Class NCOs, 2 officers and 1 1st Class Officer. DVD participates in all competitions VZO Jalžabet and beyond with the men's A and B team and achieves the best results, and is regularly placed in the county competition, where he also achieves very good results with the A and B team.
