Prvu opremu vatrogasci su dobili od tadašnjeg "Podsaveza" iz Dugag Sela i to: pumpni agregat tvornice motora Zagreb TMZ, 4 usisne cijevi fi-52 mm, 100 m tlačnih cijevi, jednu razdjelnicu i dvije mlaznice. Sa tom opremom vatrogasci su egzistirali i snalazili se na razne načine kako bi se što bolje i kvalitetnije organizirali i pripremili. Već 1955. dodjeljeno je građevinsko zemljište za izgradnju vatrogasnag doma koji se počeo graditi 1956. godine.Uz samostalni mukotrpni rad i mnoge zapreke i probleme dom je 1958.godine pušten u nužnu upotrebu, a stari vatrogasci se i danas sa sjetom sjećaju tih dana kad se na ciglani u Dugom Selu za dom radila cigla. Ciglana ih je plaćala tako da su trebali napraviti 80.000 komada sirove cigle da bi mogli dobiti 20.000 komada pečene cigle.Tek 1972. dobiveno je prvo vozilo i to vatrogasno navalno vozilo Opel-Blitz iz 1938. godine. Bio je to poklon od tadašnjeg Vatrogasnog saveza općine Dugo Selo. Vozilo je bio u postrojbi do 1986. godine, kada je prodano "Jadran-filmu", Zagreb. Od "Centra za zaštitu od pažara Đurđevac" kupljena je godine 1987. auto-cisterna kapaciteta 6000 l. Imala je čepelovu šasiju, a mercedesov motor i dan-danas je još uvijek u operativnoj postrojbi. 1982. godine od tadašnjeg "Elektromlina Dugo Selo" stiglo je na poklon kombi vozilo Zastava-645 - TLF koje je preuređeno i služilo je DVD-u do 1992. godine. 1988. godine nabavljen je od "Doma zdravlja Dugo Selo" i drugi kombi koji je također preuređen za vatrogasne svrhe te je do 1995. godine bio u operativnaj postrojbi, a tada je poklonjen DVD-u Donje Dvorišće. 1995. godine u Njemačkoj je kupljen kombi Fiat-Ducato koji se danas nalazi u postrojbi. 1997. konačno je kupljeno suvremeno navalno vozilo Magirus-Deutch-192 sa opremom za tehničke intervencije i agregatom za opskrbu električnom energijom. 1984. godine, na temeljima starag vatrogasnog doma počeo se graditi novi koji je do danas u upotrebi. Danas vatrogasno društvo Gračec broji četrdeset i jednog člana raspoređenog u tri operativne postrojbe sa, za naše prilike, suvremenom opremom i vatrogasnom tehnikom.

As early as 1955, construction land was allocated for the construction of a fire station, which began construction in 1956. With independent hard work and many obstacles and problems, the home was put into emergency use in 1958, and old firefighters still remember with sadness those days a brick was being made at the brickyard in Dugo Selo for the home. The brickyard paid for them so that they had to make 80,000 pieces of raw bricks in order to get 20,000 pieces of baked bricks. It was not until 1972 that the first vehicle was obtained, the 1938 Opel-Blitz fire truck. It was a gift from the then Fire Brigade of the Dugo Selo municipality. The vehicle was in the unit until 1986, when it was sold to "Jadran-film", Zagreb. In 1987, a 6,000-liter tank truck was purchased from the "Đurđevac Fire Protection Center". It had a chapel chassis, and the Mercedes engine is still in the operating room today.
